Yaël van Drunen obtained her master's degree in Political Science at the Radboud University Nijmegen with a specialisation in gender, equality, diversity and inclusion in politics. After that she worked as a junior lecturer of Comparative Politics.
She joined the TOR research group in October 2019 as a Phd student where she studies the measurement, origins and consequences of conflict thinking in (European) societies. Her main research interest lies in political sociology: political attitudes, polarisation and social cleavages.
