The inaugural conference of the Korean Association for Time Studies
On December 5, the establishment of the Korean Association for Time Studies is celebrated with a conference on Innovations in Time Use Research. As the President of the International Association for Time Use Research (IATUR vzw) and as one of the leading experts in time use surveys, Ignace Glorieux was invited to present his vision on the merits, threats and future of time use research.
Statistics Korea already conducted population time-use surveys in 1999, 2004 and 2009 and as from December 5 the Seoul National University now hosts the Korean Association for Time Studies that will specialize in the dissemination, analyses and valorization of these and future time-use surveys. Besides, the Korean Association for Time Studies and the Seoul National University will host the 38th Conference of Time Use Research in 2016.
