EU-grant: Smart Survey Implementation

SSI aims to develop a data collection process that provides reliable and comparable statistical information to European institutions, specifically by relying on Trusted Smart Surveys. The project will adopt a multi-stage methodological approach consisting of: (i) mapping of users’ needs; (ii) evaluation sessions and usability testing; (iii) development, implementation, and evaluation of end-to-end shared smart services/libraries; and (iv) field tests and penetration tests. The long-term goal of SSI is that new smart features can be implemented in a relatively straightforward way in different applications by using the project guidelines.

The SSI consortium brings together seven national statistical institutes (NSI), three universities, and a university spin-off company that develops apps, with partners having complementary expertise. The project has started on 1 May 2023 and will run for a period of 2 years. The kick-off meeting will take place on 22-23 May with people visiting from different EU universities and National Statistical Offices, as well as from the European Statistical Office.
